Susan Ferrier, a well-known Atlanta interior designer, crafts romantic, layered spaces for her clients’ homes. For her own 227-square-foot walk-in closet, she envisioned a sophisticated and detailed personal space to store—and showcase—her carefully curated collections of clothing, jewelry, and shoes.

A rich, leather-wrapped island anchors the space, while a glamorous shoe closet holds 70 to 80 pairs with designated storage for flats, heels, and boots. The addition of laundry machines, space for luggage to accommodate her extensive travel schedule, and a pop-up power station for charging devices makes the closet a functional, detail-oriented space.
